MUSICAL BACKGROUND

I’ve been working with students of all ages and abilities.

Guiding them as they increase their practical and theoretical music skills.

I love sharing my passion with others and am so grateful that I get to do this incredible job.

I began my career in music in 2003, studied and completed a degree.  I graduated with a Bachelors in Music, in Vocal Performance in 2007 from Westminster Choir College

Shortly after graduating a newly weds, my husband was offered a job assignment overseas. In September 2007 we moved to Rotterdam, Netherlands.  What a dream come true.  Traveling Europe singing my very first opera roles in the most romantic settings.  I sang leading roles in the evening and taught international students music lessons during the day.  We lived here from 2007-2010 and to this day I still have wonderful friendships and connections with the Dutch Music community.

We were bought back to the USA in 2010.  We made Fairfax, Virginia our new home.  While here I opened my home voice studio and became a member of the Wagner Society in Washington DC.

In 2014 we had another opportunity to move overseas.  Another chance to live the opera singer dream, but this time with children in toe.  Ashley Kelly Voice Studio continued to thrive in Antwerp, Belgium. I took on the role of after school music instructor at my children's English speaking International School. I sang in master classes, opera performances, and charity recitals.

June 2020 our family relocated Cypress, Texas, a suburb of Houston.  AK Voice Studio reopened October 2020.

As someone who had to practice incredibly hard to get where I am today, I know the importance of a good music instructor. I’ve taken everything I have learned over the years and combined it into an approach that is friendly, approachable and effective. Contact me to find out more.
